July 1-3–Stanley.

July 1-11–Salem.
23rd Annual Fair at the Civic Center Complex. Come and enjoy many wonderful shows, exciting rides, live entertainment, game booths, exhibits, food and a lot more. July 1-29–Staunton.

July 1-31–New Market.
Walking Tours sponsored by the Apple Blossom Inn. Tours will be highlighting the colonial times to the present with a costumed historian daily at 10:30 a.m. except Sunday. Hear eyewitness accounts, folklore, and music of the Shenandoah Valley. 540-740-3747.

July 1-31–Luray.
Bring your children, 3-10 years of age, to Skyland Resort or Big Meadow Lodge for crafts, games, story telling, making s’mores, and homemade ice cream, these activities are a few of the events planned for the summer season. July 2–Mt. Jackson.
The Art Group of Mt. Jackson will be holding a BBQ and music concert at the Art Gallery, featuring Joe Herbert, Jimmy Cherry, Tayon Malik, Gene Jeffers and many others, beginning at 6 PM.  This event is free and open to the public.  Please join us for TAG's last big shindig before the big move (to a bigger location, right down the street!). America’s Birthday Celebration at Gypsy Hill Park. July 3–Basye.
11th Annual Patriotic Celebration with Arts & Crafts Show at Bryce Resort. There will be children’s activities, mountain tubing, fire truck/pony rides, climbing wall, euro bungee and a lot more activities going on throughout the day. July 3–Harrisonburg.

SunTrust Summer Jam Benefit Concert, will be held at Massanutten Resort, rain or shine. Featuring Mike Davis and the “Unit”, “Mirage” and “The Real Geniues”. July 3–Lexington.

Civil War Kids Camp for ages 7-12 on the 5th-9th;Teen Camp for young men, ages 13-17 and Teen Day Camp for young ladies ages 13-17 on the 19th-21. July 6-27–Staunton.
Praise in the Park, every Tuesday, at Gypsy Hill Park. The free concerts present a mix of various types of gospel music, including southern gospel, contemporary country, bluegrass, and gospel rock. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. For time of concert call 540-886-1138.

July 7-28–Staunton.
Whether we are celebrating Mardi Gras, Saint Patrick’s Day or your birthday, we are upbeat and entertaining. Join the Mill Street Grill, 1 Mill Street, every Wednesday for some good jazz music. Different musicians each week. 540-886-0656.

July 7-28–Staunton.
Bluegrass in the Park, every Wednesday night at Gypsy Hill Park bandstand. “Last Minute Band” and “The Larkins” on the 7th; “Skyline Boys”, Junior Sisk, and “Ramblers Choice” on the 14th; “Hound Dog Hill”, and “Page Co. July 8-10–Buena Vista.
9th Annual Virginia Southern Gospel Jubilee at Glen Maury Park. Professional Southern Gospel singing groups from around the country, along with some local talent, perform each evening, rain or shine. Food concessions, free parking and free admission. Camping at a very reasonable price, and much more takes place at this event. July 10–Bunker Hill, WV.
2nd annual "Hillbilly Daylilies Bloomin' Bash" 9 a.m-6 p.m. at 1105 Giles Road. Celebrate summer with a festival of flowers! Spend a day with thousands of blooming daylilies, vendors selling nature-related and hand crafted items, antique tractors and steam engines, delicious food and live bluegrass music by The Back Creek Valley Boys and The Speakeasy Boys. 85th Annual Volunteer Fireman’s Pony Swim and Auction. The ponies swim Assateague Channel at Chincoteague Memorial Park, east side of island from 7a.m.-1p.m. on the 28th. The auction of ponies will be on the 29th only. 757-336-6161.

July 31–Buena Vista.

July 31–Roanoke.
“Touch a Truck–wheels, wings, and water” at Green Hill Park. This free event is where both kids and adults have the opportunity to see, touch, and play with well over 100 vehicles. From fire trucks to motorcycles, cement trucks to race cars, hot air balloons to army vehicles and airplanes as well. Additional activities will include such as Firemen’s Foam, water spray and possibly even a water slide. July 31-August 7–Front Royal.
Warren County Fair at the Fair Grounds, 26 Fairgrounds Road. The Pageants are held on the 31st, they include fairest of the fair, tiny, little miss, and preteen. Live entertainment, animals shows, exhibits, tractor pull, master of the chainsaw, circus, and more on August 1st-7th. Demolition derby on the 2nd, and the 5th. ATV dirt drag racing on the 6th.
